On Saturday morning, November 5, 2016, nearly thirty members of the Middle States Planning Team came together at Salesian High School to begin the review process for Salesian High’s Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools re-accreditation.
The Planning Team consists of members of the school’s administration, teachers, students, parents, alumni, as well as local New Rochelle business owners, representatives from Monroe and Iona colleges, and the Salesian Provincial Center.
The purpose of this first Planning Team meeting was to review the foundation documents of Salesian High. The team reviewed the school’s Mission Statement and created a draft for a new Mission Statement, which will be finalized at later meetings.
The Team also reviewed and revised the school’s Beliefs Statements.
The Team will next meet on March 11, 2017, to finalize the Mission Statement, review the results on the Standards Survey, and begin the process of formulating Objectives for the next seven-year period of re-accreditation.
